Since ages, we have heard that a normal corporate job is much more reliable than being a sportsperson. While this is true to some reasons back in the day, due to the lack of professional avenues after a sportsperson retires from their field. However that trend has changed in recent times, especially given how the Sports industry has revolutionized itself. The major factor for this is the internet and the awareness of people all around the world towards what career opportunities lie in the sports industry, as a fresher in the industry as well as a veteran.

On a global scale, there are various competitions across various sports on a national, international and even continental level. This multi-billion dollar industry boasts of a significant chunk of the world economy that is fueled by passion from players as well as fans who join for the love of the sport. While competitive sports pit individuals, teams or even fans, it also has the power to unite communities and bring to light social causes. This aspect of sports establishes as a relevant part of the human culture, evoking a feeling of innate passion when a person associates themselves with a sport in any capacity.

In India, sports has been relevant since ages and can be seen having a massive cultural impact with the example of the TATA IPL, which is celebrated as much as a festival in the subcontinent. Moreover, recent initiatives from the government has also led to the an increase of people’s awareness of various sports in the country and how they are a huge part of our everyday lives. While there still lies a taboo in the minds of Indians regarding the financial future that a career in sports holds, recent instances have proved that times are changing, and there are ways that people can increase their control of finances by planning their career trajectory right.
